Samsung is reaping great benefits with its every new launch and this could be the result of their advanced and fantastic gadgets. The Korean giant has released some of the most outstanding products over the last few years and now clearly standalone as a tech giant. It is probably hard to find a person who never used Samsung’s tech piece.
Now the company thinks to expand its business and that’s the reason why they are going to acquire shares in Corning, a rugged glass maker. Both of these companies have worked together collaboratively two years back when they attended a join event. The event was known as Samsung Corning Precision Materials (SCP). Samsung Corning friendship seems to be going on and on.
Just after two years of this mega happening, Samsung moves one step ahead and owns important shares of the subsidiary. The Korean company currently holds 43% of the SCP and Corning will get that particular stake for $1.9 billion. Analysts have different opinions on this acquisition. Some of them consider it a positive step towards company’s brighter future. On the other hand, some critics do not seem to be happy on this transaction. They advise Samsung to stay limited to the manufacturing of their products rather than purchasing other company’s shares.
