I’d like to “visit the dark side” and swap my iphone 4 ( ios ) for an android device and id like a verygood device, which one do you recommend that is worth swaping an iphone 4 16 gb for?

Best answer:

Answer by justme624
Well I have an iPhone4 also but last night I read that the AT&T Galaxy S is the best Android phone they have out. Just make sure you get yourself a decent anti-virus program to run on it, like Webroot. Hope it helps and good luck with your phone swapping. Still get the anti-virus; it wouldn’t pay to get a virus on your computer and I did ask a service techniciian his opinion of android vs ios.

Can someone help me with this? i have an unlocked hd2 with some chucky ROM thing. it on a flashed version. of windows mobile 6.5 and it has ebl 2.0 but when i press that it just says no android builds detected on storage card. what do i download? or is there another way to put on android? I’m terrible with computers.

Best answer:

Answer by The Phone geek
go over to xda-developers.com and read up on it. Dont take this the wrong way but if you are not good with computers you really dont need to be hacking your phone you could mess up and brick the phone which turns it into a really nice expensive paper weight. But if you are set on doing it then please READ READ and READ up on it and follow the directions to the T.

@Sakki
Now why in the hell would HTC website or the user guide tell you how to hack your phone?

Question by beru b: How do i transfer my contacts from my iPhone to LG android phone?
I just got a Cricket LG Optimus phone and i don’t know to to transfer all my contacts to my new phone from my iPhone. Cricket don’t use Sim card, so I’m wondering if you can help me figure out how to move all my contacts to my new android phone from my iPhone please! I didn’t want to do it manually because it’s too many!

Best answer:

Answer by Nathan
Tell iTunes to sync your contact to your Google Account. (If you don’t have a Google account, just go make one.) Then refer to your phones manual to setup your phone to sync with Google. If your manual doesn’t tell. Just google “How to transfer my contacts from iPhone to Android?”.

I travel on the road for work and have a few financial transactions(non work related) to do. I have a laptop that I can connect to WIFI but it always seems to be an unsecured network. With the talk of android phone viruses, would it be better to use an Iphone?

Best answer:

Answer by Sushi
I personally would wait until I got home to make any transactions. iPhones are very secure but you can never be totally sure someone isnt tapping into your phone.

Question by : How do I get rid of pre-installed apps on my Android phone?
I have an LG Vortex Android phone. There is at least one app I don’t use or want, Skype. I would like to get rid of it. Tired of turning it off all the time. Even if I haven’t restarted my phone I still have to go in and stop it from running. I don’t have or really want an ATK on my phone.
Is there any way to remove pre-installed apps from my phone?

Best answer:

Answer by Mike D
First off, good work not having ATK on your phone. Task killers are poison for your phone.

Secondly, I’m sorry to inform you that you can’t remove pre-installed apps. The only way to do it is to root your phone. It will void your warranty, but you can do all sorts of fun things like installing different versions of android. Here is one guide: http://lifehacker.com/#!5563924 But keep in mind that it is from last June (still pretty good though). I’d poke around the internet a bit before going that route.

Question by demani_g: What Computer Language Do I Need To Learn To Create Google Android Application?
I only took 2 semesters of C++ and only retained the memory of creating that stupid “Hello World” program. I want to create my own Apps for Google’s Android phones. Can you recommend what computer languages I should be learning (like Java) to make creating these apps easier?

Best answer:

Answer by Nick J
I’m assuming that it will support Java, although being Linux it will run C++ if it is compiled for the phone. I would use Java though, because you won’t need to cross compile.

What do you think? Answer below!
